Bergamot tea is Also known as Oswego Tea

Substitute flavouring for Bergamot Citrus Oil in Earl Grey tea

Medicinal Uses

Important! Do not use of herbs for medicinal purposes without consulting your medical doctor. Herbs have medicinal qualities and can react with other medication.

A  strong infusion can be used as a hair wash and as an astringent.

 In weaker form drunk as a tea it tones and stimulates the digestive organs.

Also used to treat fevers, headaches, colds and sore throats

Growing Bergamot

An aromatic perennial with a scent similar to that of the bergamot orange which is used to flavor earl grey tea.

Height  to about 1m

Propagate in spring  from seed or by dividing the roots. Plant in light garden soil in a sunny position with shade at some time during the day
