Description
Catmint
is a hardy perennial, which grows to about 30 cm high. The leaves are a grey
green colour with a serrated edge, In summer it gets covered in pale mauve
flowers.
Growing Catmint
Catmint
grows best in full sun in moist rich soil. Cut old flower stems to encourage a
long flowering season
Propagating Catmint
Sow seeds directly into the garden in early spring. Will also self seed if some flowers are allowed to go to seed.
Can also be propagated by root division
Good rose companion and groundcover and border plant
Helps to keep aphids at bay
pot-pourri and dry arrangements
Nor generally as popular with cats as
Catnip but some cats prefer it.
