Ground Ivy is a perennial low growing creeper which produces long tendrils which put down roots at regular intervals.
Leaves are round with a ruffeled edge. Two forms of the plant are available on with green peaves and one with leaves with green and white varigation. If planted together they seem to all revert to the green form.
The plant produces tiny blue/purple flowers.

To make a tea, use about a tablespoon full of leaves and infused with about 1/2 litre of boiling water, sweetened with honey or sugar. Drink a small cupfull warm or cold three or four times a day.
The infusion is also used with advantage as a wash for sore and weak eyes.
