Culinary Uses of Bergamot
An aromatic perennial with a scent similar to that of the bergamot orange which is used to flavor earl grey tea. Tea made with Bergamot is known as Oswego tea
Growing Bergamot
Propagate in spring from seed or by dividing the roots. Plant in light garden soil in a sunny position with shade at some time during the day. The plant grows to about 1m.
Medicinal Uses of Bergamot

A strong infusion (tea) can be used as a hair wash and as an astringent.
In weaker form drunk as a tea it tones and stimulates the digestive organs.
